Field trips are powerful learning experiences but it is easy for them to pass quickly. Maximizing the learning requires thoughtful work done before and after the trip.
The students of grades 7 & 8 of ๐๐ง๐๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐ฏ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ฒ ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ง๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐ฌ๐๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ were taken to the ๐๐ข๐ซ๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฎ๐ฆ for an experiential learning which helped them get insights on how mesmerizing our space looked. They were thrilled to see the virtual tour of the night sky and holding cosmic shows, on an especially perforate hemispherical aluminum inner dome.
Students were taken on an enriching and educational field trip to Birla Planetarium on 27th of December, 2023. The students experienced the thrill of an adventure as they witnessed the โsky theatreโ which showed glimpses of the galaxy and formation of celestial objects. Next, students imagined a scientist among themselves as they caught up with extreme high grade science models in an experimental form that was indeed a treat to the upcoming Newtons and Einsteins. Over all the trip was exciting, enriching, empowering and educative of all and happy smiles stretched across the miles as they returned to school.
Our kids were electrified looking at the Solar System, different planets, sky and Earth, comets, shooting meteoroids and the stellar cycle. It was informational to our students where their gained an insight into what space is and all about the Solar system.
As the lights dimmed and the journey through the stars began, the excitement among the students was overwhelming. The show was exemplary and provided a good visual experience as well as factual knowledge of astronomy to our kids.
On a whole, the visit was a visual treat for the students which will definitely help them in retaining the concepts taught about our Solar System
