Whisper India: Empowering Girls Through Puberty Education PUBERTY EDUCATION CAMPAIGN
On 20th November 2023, Indus valley international school conducted a seminar which was addressed by Ms Raisha Bhatia, Whisper – P&G India’s Puberty Education. The aim of this program was to help girls understand the changes they experience during puberty and acknowledge that these changes are a normal part of growth and development. It also aims to teach the girls about best practices in hygiene that can manage her period better. Ms Bhatia explained about body awareness,puberty, personal hygiene, menstruation and periods care.
Through impact workshops, it aims to equip young girls with a comprehensive understanding of the changes their bodies undergo during puberty. To further break down barriers and eliminate stigma surrounding periods, an empowering “Pride of Period Anthem” was also presented, fostering a more promising and inclusive future for all individuals who menstruate.
Whisper India’s initiative goes beyond the mere provision of menstrual hygiene products; it is a holistic approach to guide and support girls as they navigate the intricate path of puberty. This program was designed to foster a sense of understanding, confidence, and self-assurance during this crucial developmental stage.
