Hindi Diwas Celebrations

Hindi Diwas is celebrated on 14th September every year, as ‘Hindi’ written in Devnagari script, was approved as an official language by the Constituent Assembly on this date in 1949. To mark this occasion, Indus valley international School, celebrated Hindi Diwas with great zeal and enthusiasm for the students of classes I to X. A skit presentation highlighting the importance of the day was shared with students. The video was symbolic of the day’s celebration. Grade V students, expressed the importance of Hindi and the way it is accepted as an official language in their speeches. It was an enriching virtual celebration of the Hindi Diwas that inspired our students to take pride in Hindi Language. Hindi teachers set the mood for the literary session by organising ‘Kavya Goshthi’, a collection of poems that were recited by students.
Children also designed thought- provoking and beautiful posters. The students presented a melodious song highlighting the importance and glory of Hindi language. This was followed by an unforgettable journey Nutak Nathak. Their performance touched upon the importance of hard-work and struggle in life that would add value to the lives of the students. The treasure of Hindi poems comprising knowledge, inspiration and entertainment was shared with the audience who enjoyed the richness of the works of great poets. HM Ms. Kavitha Thimmancherla presented spoke about the role of teachers in helping students grow their passion for literature and language. She explained how recitation and literature helped in developing excellent oratory skills.
