Building the Bridge
As said, ‘The family that plays together is the family that stays together.’ To bring it to life, Indus valley International School, Turkayamjal organized a friendly match between parents and teachers on 10th January, 2024 in the school campus. School-family partnership does more than enhance academic achievement. When parents and teachers work together, students report higher levels of motivation and self-esteem. Various indoor and outdoor games were organized. Ms.Priya Darshini, the school Principal along with the teachers participated in the match and boarding games. The matches meant to be fun friendly matches were a huge hit with everyone – teachers, parents, and kids cheered the teams. The presence of their kids in the audience worked as a booster for the parents as players in the field. The match was a gritty one with tons of edge-of-the-seat moments and cheers echoed for each goal from parents and teachers alike. It was a match to watch out for the excellent competition that the team put in. Playing board games with parents provided a valuable opportunity for teachers to bond with each other. Parents liked the thrill of winning but equally so interacting with the Principal and teachers while parents were playing the games. Finally, the staff team won but our hearts went to the splendid performance and sportsmanship displayed by the parents.
