Diwali is the festival of lights which is celebrated in various regions across India. The name ‘Deepavali’ literally means an ‘array of lights. To make the students understand the importance of Diwali, Indus Valley International School had a celebration in school on Oct 21 & 22, 2022 respectively.
Students had an amazing day at school today which was filled with fun & festive mood. All the kids brought homemade sweets and shared among them themselves and the teachers. Diya decoration was done by the kids with Diya painting activity in which the students decorated diyas with colours and glitters. Teachers explained the importance of Diwali, the festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair.
Inter House competitions were conducted where students enacted Ramayan and presented the theme in form of beautiful dance and songs.
Mrs Shashikala Naidu, Principal, IVIS appreciated the efforts of students and encouraged them to celebrate Diwali in eco friendly manner.Both Teachers and students enjoyed the Diwali celebrations wholeheartedly.
