𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 was held on 22th December 2023 in Indus valley international school. The school was beautifully decorated and everyone was dressed in red and black. The programme started with a welcome song by Mr.Abiharic Joseph Music facilitator and IVIS Rockerz band of the school. A beautiful skit followed depicting the scenes of the nativity of Jesus Christ interspersed with melodious carols sung by the choir.
Right from the conception of Mary to the birth of Jesus a harmonious story was displayed by the students of grade 9. The event ended with cheerful Christmas greetings as the students danced to the melodious tunes of ‘Jingle Bells’ and ‘ We wish you a merry Christmas.’There was foot tapping dance performance by Mr.Shalam Raju school choreographer. School Principal Ms.Priya Dominic asked the students to be the ‘Voice of God’ and the ‘Messengers of God’ by standing up for the right ideals, virtues and values; by knowing that greatness does not come from wealth or pomp and show but by standing up for those who are unjustly treated: the marginalized and the downtrodden. She reiterated the fact that Christmas is a season to be human, transcending all barriers of caste, colour, creed and race.
The dazzling entry of Santa Claus added to the joy and excitement of the students. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was visible on the faces of all the children. It was a joyous and amusing programme for everyone.
