๐ข๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฉ, ๐๐ง๐๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐ฏ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ฒ ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ง๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐ฌ๐๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ, students of grade 9 visited the Times of India printing press in Nacharam hyderabad, on 17th January,โ2024.Students got a chance to see how a printing press operates and learnt about the various schemes introduced by the Times of India to enhance the reader experience and deliver the newspaper on time. The students were welcomed by Mr.Vignesh.
Students toured the printing press and witnessed the various stages โ prepress, press, and post press โ of printing operations. They were shown how a printed image is converted into an image carrier such as a plate.
The comment of a student summed up the objective of the trip: โAfter coming here, I know that Print media is not dyingโ by Sai Eshwar of grade 9.
The trip fulfilled the objectives of the course by helping students understand the printing process and TOIโs efforts in printing innovations.
Students witnessed printing of newspapers through huge printing towers in the press. This was an industrial visit for them as a part of practical exposure for the students.
A video was also showcased by Printing Press Production Manager to tell them how to design/publish and print a newspaper. Students excitedly shared their experiences during the visit.
