On 11th January, Indus Valley International School,Turkyamjal celebrated its 6th Annual Day filled with excitement and humor under the able guidance of its Principal Mrs. Priya Dominic.
Hon’ble Sri Justice B.Vijaysen Reddy (High Court Judge of TS) graced the occasion as the chief guest and added value to the show with his extravagant speech motivating students and staff. The atmosphere here felt glorified with the presence of school directors Mr. Raghav Reddy, Mr. Sudhir Reddy,Mr.Sanjeev Reddy and Mr.Madhusudhan with the next rung of leaders and the parents with the kids.
The event was divided into two and one which started by watering the sapling followed by prayer and welcome song laced with welcome dance while the curtains raised for little angels of Pre Primary to grade 2 to stage Jungle Book 1.
The kathakali and bharatanatyam fusion presented by girls of grade 3-5 was the showstopper.
After witnessing the reel of recreating the magic- The second part of the event commenced with the lighting of lamps by the chief guest followed by a prayer by the school choir. The Annual report was presented by our principal for the academic year 2021-2022. The top performers in academics and sports were felicitated by the chief guest and the parents of the toppers were honoured as well.
The Saga continued with the budding artists of Grade 3 to 5 on stage “The Jungle Book” Part 2 which left the audience spellbound and all were introspecting as to what better shall be done to give back to nature.
We recalled that “we have not inherited nature from our ancestors but have borrowed it from the next generation” . This was depicted beautifully when Mowgli faces the Tiger-Sher khan and saves his friend Baloo. While expressing the most important life lesson in “The Jungle Book”, students also expressed the importance of forest and trees in one’s life through a beautiful skit by saying “without trees, human life might not be able to survive”. The mind-blowing performance got a standing ovation and much praise from the audience.
Each element was accompanied with amazing dance bits, fit moves through exhibition of talent through karate and yoga amidst the play which raised the quality of the show.
